PRODUCT INFORMATION

What distinguishes Nova 18 Novadye is the fact that it is a spirit dye and not a varnish or oil stain. This means, it will not cover or hide the grain of the wood, but will enhance it.

Nova 18 Novadye is suitable for use where Nova 17 Novathane, Nova 19 Ultra Clear, Nova 27 Urethane, Bourne Gleem, Bourne Gleem Clear Floor or Bourne P6 is to be used.

PREPERATION

Sand wood to a fine, smooth finish.

APPLICATION

Ensure that wood is properly dry.
Shake well before use.
Apply with a brush or lint-free cloth.
If a darker colour is required, a second coat may be applied.
Lighter colours may be obtained by diluting Nova 18 Novadye with methylated spirits.
Allow 15 minutes between coats.
If desired, the stained timber may be sealed with Nova 17 Novathane, Nova 19 Ultra Clear and Nova 27 Urethane - in the case of wooden floors, use Bourne Gleem, Bourne P6 or Bourne Gleem Clear Floor.
Allow 30 - 60 minutes drying time before sealing.
Clean equipment immediately after use with Nova 11 Brush Cleaner or methylated spirits.
Never attempt to premix Nova 18 Novadye with Nova 17 Novathane, Nova 19 Ultra Clear, Nova 27 Urethane, Bourne Gleem, Bourne P6 or Bourne Gleem Clear Floor.

HINTS & TIPS

For a lighter shade, add methylated spirits. For a darker shade, apply extra coats. Colour variations may occur.
To avoid colour variations, if possible always buy your total requirement at the same time and check that all containers have the same batch number. If this is not possible, premix all product purchased in a larger container.
