Plascon - Pure Coat Clear Gloss

PRODUCT INFORMATION

A three-coat system (minimum) of Purecoat Polyurethane Enamel offering an exceptional hard wearing high gloss finish with good marring resistance properties - suitable for most areas axcept for very heavy wheeled traffic and high chemical resistance requirements.

PREPARATION
  • Remove all traces of residue floor polishes or wax, paying special attention to lamination joints and edges by the most suitable means.
  • Using mechanical belt sanders fitted with 60 or 80 grit floor paper, first diagonally sand across the grain of the wood to remove all existing coatings. Thereafter, using 100 or 120 grit floor paper, sand with the grain of the wood in both directions to achieve a suitably prepared substrate.
  • Vaccum the entire area to remove all traces of dust.

APPLICATION

FIRST COAT
Apply one coat of Plascothane Purecoat Clear using a mohair roller at a rate of not more than 5 sqm per litre. Allow to dry for a minimum of 3 hours. Using P220 Water Paper, sand the entire floor, thereby de-nibbing any grain that might be standing up. Vaccum the entire floor. Using Plascon Universal Reducer, solvent wipe the entire floor and allow to flash off.

FINAL COATS Apply two coats of Plascothane Purecoat Enamel by mohair roller at a rate of 8 sqm per litre allowing a minimum of 3 hours drying between coats @ 23°C following the same procedure as in above between coats.
